HP 5640 inkjet printer

I bought two Canon Original 62XL ink cartridges from Viking two months ago and tried to install them today (30.12.20).
The Colour cartridge installed OK but the Black didn't and the printer continually asks me to remove it and reinstall it correctly.
Since the Colour was OK am I right to assume that there is nothing I can do to the printer that would help and if so, what can I do to the cartridge that might help?  Viking only replaces cartridges within 30 days.

Possibly one of these two printers

Not really sure what to say - even assuming the printer normally accepts non-HP ink cartridges, their use is not supported.

 

Could be that the individual ink cartridge is at fault.

 

Could be the printer needs maintenance.

We do not have any information on Viking service.

 

What else?

Plead your case with Viking and see if they will help in spite of the 30 day rule.
