On my HP Envy 7640 I needed to replace the color HP62 cartridge. I replaced it with a spare that I keep on hand just so that, when these things happen, I don't have to rush out to store or order online to finish my project. It passed the alignment process fine and the settings indicates that the color is full. However, the alignment page did not show the cyan color on the printout as it normally does. When I tried to print something with color, the cyan did not print either, and colors that mixed with the cyan did not display correctly. I did the cleaning and alignment cycles three times, with no help.

The next morning, I tested it again and the cyan printed fine, but only on the first page AND THEN NOTHING AFTER THAT.

The QR code on the cartridge is [edit] with a date code of 2024/05/15  Y.

How can I get a replacement?

Hi @jimdandy45,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Have you performed all the steps from this document and still having issues? Then you may have to replace it with another cartridge.

Update the firmware if needed. Sometimes it does the trick.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
