I installed a new HP black cartridge. The alignment page only printed color. I have made sure all firmware and software are up to date. I cleaned the printer heads. I preformed a power drain and reset. Still only printing color. The ink levels show a full black ink but it is not printing.

That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially after taking all those steps to troubleshoot. It's disappointing when a new cartridge doesn't work as expected.
If you have performed all the steps from this document and still have issues, either the cartridges or the printer itself are faulty.
