Product: HP DeskJet 2630 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I have purchased a new Black HP304XL ink cartridge (from Amazon, not marketplace) so I am confident it is an official HP cartridge - but when I put this in it is telling me the ink is empty.  I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion (turning printer on and off, cleaning the copper part of the cartridge and cartridge holder, checked use by date, etc, etc).   

 

I tried to get support from the HP twitter account, I received one DM back asking for further info a bout 2 days ago, and haven't had a response since.

 

I don't want to keep purchasing more ink cartridges if the issue is something else (as this is costly, and I shouldn't have to).  So unsure what to do?
