I recently bought a set of brand new cartridges for my Office Jet Pro 6970, and after installing them I've recently attempted to use the color printing to make a physical copy of an assignment. I attempt to print the document and the printer tells me that the cartridges I have are previously used, and it refuses to print in anything but black, locking me out of printing the color copy I need. I understand that cartridge recycling is a thing, but the ink levels for the cartridges register as full, and I bought these from Staples only a week or so ago. Why am I getting factory cartridges that are registering as used and subsequently being locked out of using my printer the way I need it to function?
