The new black ink that i replaced not working despite usage diagnostic. After few hours not using the printer, it will be able to print only about a quarter of the page.   I bought it few months ago and no longer has the receipt.  Anyone know how if I could return to HP for an exchange?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that new black ink cartridge is not printing, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Use a pin or paper clip to remove any debris or excess adhesive from the vent on top of the cartridge.

Cleaning the vent on the cartridge

Run the automatic printhead cleaning tool.

  • Printers with a touchscreen or menus: On the printer, open the Settings or Setup menu, touch Tools or Printer Maintenance, and then touch Clean Printhead or Clean Cartridges.
