Hello,

Having used the HP Instant ink service for many years without a problem I replaced my depleted black cartridge with the new one supplied.

When I restarted printing the image was very faded and streaky so I did the clean print head and alignment procedures with no success.

On opening the access flap I then noticed black ink all over the guides and rollers, there was so much it actually ran out of the bottom of the printer onto the desk.

After many test prints I managed to get it printing but now have black streaks down the edge of the page due to the excess ink on the rollers.

I have contacted HP who requested photographs of the ink spillage inside the printer and the cartridge and they have escalated the complaint.

My question is are HP responsible for the damage to my printer due to their defective replacement ink cartridge or do I now have to buy a new printer at my expense?
