Hi @tehag

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Color Settings:

  • Ensure that the print settings are set to print in color:
    • When you go to print, check the printer properties/preferences. Make sure "Print in Grayscale" is not selected.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Verify that the color ink tanks are filled. Sometimes, if one of the colors is low or empty, it can affect color printing.

Run Printhead Cleaning:

  • Clean the printhead to ensure that the nozzles for color inks are not clogged:
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.

Print Test Page:

  • Print a test page to check if the colors are working:
    • Use the printer’s built-in function to print a color test page, which is usually found in the settings menu.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Make sure the printer driver is up to date. You can download the latest driver from the HP website.

Update Firmware:

  • Check for any firmware updates available for your printer through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Reset Printing System:

  • If you’re on a computer, try resetting the printing system by going to Devices and Printers, right-clicking the printer, and selecting Remove Device. Then re-add the printer.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
