New ink cartridge is saying error

Hp desk jet 3700

I brought my printer and it didn’t have ink in the box so I brought some and the colour Cartridge is working but when it comes to the black cartridge it comes up as an error no matter what I try doesn’t work the ink cartridge is 65

I see that the printer is in an error state, this could be an issue with the printer or the ink system. I'd suggest you follow the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge to isolate and resolve the issue.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

Try printing.
