HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

I inserted a new cyan cartridge. Within a week it showed the cartridge as empty.  I thought it was a defective cartridge, so I got a new cyan cartridge and inserted it about a week ago.  Today it is notifying me that it is empty and needs to be replaced.  Since this happened twice, I suspect it is a printer issue rather than an ink cartridge issue.  Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?  I can't afford to buy a new cartridge every week.  😉

Hi @Gary4573,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are facing issues with the cyan cartridge.

Are you using HP genuine in cartridges?

Try updating drivers, if you have made any changes to your current OS. Click here

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, this could be hardware.

I recommend you contact phone support.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
