Hi @Janjan1025,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you are encountering an error message on your HP printer that indicates that a new ink cartridge is incompatible, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue.
- Check if the cartridge is compatible: Make sure that the cartridge you are trying to use is compatible with your specific HP printer model. HP printers are designed to work with specific cartridges, so using an incompatible cartridge can cause issues.
- Check if the cartridge is correctly installed: Ensure that the cartridge is installed correctly and that it is securely locked in place. Make sure that all of the protective tape or stickers have been removed from the cartridge.
- Clean the contacts: Sometimes, ink or debris can accumulate on the contacts of the cartridge or the printer, causing communication errors. Clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab dipped in distilled water.
- Reset the printer: Try resetting your printer to clear any error messages. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Try a different cartridge: If none of the above steps work, it is possible that the cartridge is defective. Try using a different cartridge to see if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
