Hi @DougRymsza,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issues with your HP Tango printer.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges for Cyan and Black are not empty or low on ink. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
- Clean Printhead: Sometimes, printheads can get clogged, especially if the printer hasn't been used for a while or if low-quality ink has been used. Most HP printers have an option to clean the printhead through the printer's control panel or software utility. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu.
- Align Printhead: If the printhead alignment is off, it can cause streaky prints. Most HP printers also have an option to align the printhead, which you can find in the settings or maintenance menu.
- Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-HP cartridges or refilled cartridges may not work properly and can cause print quality issues.
- Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve printing issues. Check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or HP's support website.
- Check Print Settings: Verify that the print settings, such as paper type and print quality, are correctly set for the type of document you are printing. Incorrect settings can affect print quality.
- Run Printer Diagnostic Tests: Many HP printers have built-in diagnostic tools that can help identify and fix printing issues. Check your printer's user manual or the HP website for instructions on running diagnostic tests.
Following these steps should help you troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issues with Cyan not working and Black being streaky on your HP Tango printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
