HP Recommended

My printer has terrible quality.  I have followed all steps to clean, align, reset, etc....  I notice a thin white strip in thr bottom of the printer that appears to be damaged.  This is a brand new printer so I have no idea if this is supposed to be like this or if it is the reason for our troubles.  HP envy Inspire 7900
