Newly installed Instant Ink cartridge doesn't work

I've installed my new colour ink cartridge, it was sent to me, and Instant Ink cartridge.  The printer is now in error state.  It won't recognise the cartridge.  I have followed all the steps - updated the firmware, cleaned the contacts...help!
