To bypass the SETUP cartridge error, please follow these steps,
>Open the ink cartridge access door.
>Press and hold the Wireless button for at least three seconds.
>Close the ink cartridge access door. An alignment page prints, indicating that the printer has initialized.
>If the printer does not initialize, repeat these steps until it does.

But this is the actual solution. When you are setting up the HP smart app. Somewhere during the printer connection part it was ask if you want to print an alignment page. ‼️If you haven’t put your ink cartridges in yet STOP and do this. DO NOT SKIP THIS. ‼️ If you follow the instructions when you print the alignment page it will cancel out the SETUP ink error code.
YOU DO NOT NEED THE NAME BRAND INK. ITS ACTUALLY ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO REQUIRE IT. THEYVE FACED MULTIPLE LAWSUITS FOR THEIR SNEAKY BEHAVIORS LIKE THIS AND TRYING TO MAKE YOU THINK YOU NEED TO SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR INSTANT INK TO USE THE PRINTER.
