I cannot get my non hp ink cartridges to work on my hp officejet pro 6978 printer. How to get my printer to work again with these non hp ink cartridges?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I see that you have an issue using non-HP ink cartridges on your printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

 

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

 

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

C) If the issue still persists, refer to this link for more information related to using non-HP ink cartridges.

 

If you are using generic or Non HP ink cartridges and the above steps do not help. You will have to contact the generic ink cartridge manufacturer to assist you further with it or you will have to use genuine HP ink cartridges to resume printing.

I have a HP Office-jet 8610 All in one  Printer.               I do have non HP ink cartridges and a message saying One or more cartridges appear to be damaged Remove them and replace with new cartridges. But, the printer seems to be Locked up because the ink cartridge holder will not move so I can take out the ink cartridges. I have done all the Hard reset ideas and the clearing of the printer memory to reset it's memory but nothing works.

   Be advised of the fact that I can not  REMOVE the Ink Cartridges because the Holder for the ink cartridges "Does  not Move"...
