Hi @CrowderK,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer is not copying or producing color images, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that all color cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow) have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can cause color copying issues.

Perform Printer Maintenance:

  • Clean Printheads: Go to your printer’s settings and run the printhead cleaning cycle. This can help if the nozzles are clogged.
  • Align Printheads: Use the printer’s built-in alignment feature to ensure the printheads are properly aligned.

Check Copy Settings:

  • Ensure that the copy settings are configured for color copying. Sometimes settings might be accidentally set to black-and-white or grayscale.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Check the HP website for any updates that might address color printing issues.

Check for Software Issues: If you’re using printer software or a driver utility, make sure it’s up to date and properly configured for color copies.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset. This will reset all settings and configurations back to their default values.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
