I'm having a similar issue. My HP Officejet 3830 printer has not been printing color properly, so I replaced it with a new color cartridge and it's still having the same issue. I tried different diagnostics (aligning printer, cleaning cartridges, quality reports) and it failed all tests. The color magenta isn't even showing up. I might have to contact support if there's nothing I can do.

I tested out cleaning the cartridges - and my old ink cartridge did have all three colors, even if it's running out. However, the new one is still missing magenta and is only showing cyan and yellow. I don't know if the cartridge is the problem, otherwise my printer is working normally.
