HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer

ONE color (Cyan) will not print on HP Office Jet Pro6968, when printing and copying. I did all internal troubleshooting exercises (except having it serviced.) I only get black, pink and yellow print. All is aligned and crisp. Using HP cartridges. Changed cartridges 3 times.

Hi @12revz ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already done a lot of troubleshooting, but the issue with the cyan color still persists. Since you've replaced the cartridges and aligned the printhead, here are a few additional steps to try:

  • Printhead Cleaning: Sometimes, even with new cartridges, the printhead can get clogged. Try running the printhead cleaning cycle through the printer's menu. You can find this option in the printer settings under "Tools" or "Maintenance." This should help clear any blockages in the cyan nozzle.
  • Manual Cleaning of the Printhead: If the cleaning cycle doesn’t resolve the issue, you could manually clean the printhead. You can remove the printhead from the printer and gently clean the nozzle with a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab dampened with distilled water. Be sure to let it dry completely before reinstalling it.
  • Check for Ink Flow: After performing a cleaning, print a test page to check for ink flow. Sometimes, the cyan ink may still be clogged even after a cleaning cycle. If the test print shows no cyan, it could indicate a deeper issue with the ink delivery system.
  • Check the Cyan Cartridge: Even though you replaced the cartridge, it's still possible that it was defective or empty. You could try swapping it again with another new one to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Software/Driver Update: Ensure that your printer drivers and software are fully updated. Sometimes outdated software can cause printing issues, especially with color calibration.

Let me know if any of these steps help or if you'd like more guidance!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
