My cousin gave us an HP Officejet Pro 9018 that has never been used, however the magenta cartridge is apparently not the setup cartridge. After hours of banging my head against the wall, I'm reaching out to the forum, haha.
Initially I just tried enabling/disabling the OOBE Trade option in the normal secret menu, but that did nothing. I finally figured out how to do an OOBE reset using a different secret menu (Home, Back, Home, Home; Service Menu, Resets Menu, OOBE reset.) but I still get the same error.
What other magical OOBE reset steps do I need to take to use this stupid printer (actually I'm really just wanting to be able to use the freaking scanner to scan stuff to email as needed.)

Please help with my HP Photo-smart Premium C410a All-In-One Printer it is showing, install the Setup Ink Cartridges but I don't have them due to recycling after replacing them. How do I get past this 'setup cartridge' screen?
My error message is " Please use the setup cartridges that came with your printer"
