HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer

Seems to need jets cleaned. Cannot find that option on the printer screen.

@DaveC26, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check the Cartridge Installation

Turn off the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.

Remove the black cartridge.

Ensure the plastic protective tape has been removed from the ink nozzle (this is often overlooked).

Reinstall it firmly.

Run Printhead Cleaning from Printer Software

On Windows:

Open the HP Smart app or go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 and select Printer Properties or Printing Preferences.

Go to the Maintenance or Services tab.

Click Clean Printhead.

Print a Test Page or Print Quality Diagnostic Page

On the printer touchscreen:

Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Print Quality Report (or use HP Smart on your PC/Mac).

This helps confirm whether the black ink is coming through at all.

Also, i suggest you refer to this guide: HP OfficeJet 6900, 8010, 8020, 8030 printers - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issue...

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
