After the firmware update issued at the end of last october the printer is emitting all kinds of error messages and is unable to print. First it informed that one cartridge was empty. The cartridge was changed, and the message "Ink System Failure".
I changed again the cartridge and the printer reported that the brand new and authentic cartridge was empty. Continued trying taking cartridges out, cleaning contacts, and the printer kept showing errors indicating that there were empty colors.
Did already follow some recommendations that are described in the forum, especially the hardware reset: turning off the printer and disconnect power. And that did not help.
Now the printer emits errors for one cartridge being empty, if this is substituted, the error goes to another color. All cartridges are full and are authentic HP.
Is there a way to reverse the firmware update and go back to the previous configuration ?
Is there some other suggestion of things to try ?

Hi @apaz,
I'd like to help!
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
