HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

Hello folks

 

I have just moved from Singapore to the USA. I bought my HP Officejet Pro 8710 in Singapore where it used 955 ink cartridges. Here in the USA, I am unable to get HP 955 refills and a VERY frustrating call with HP customer care resolved nothing! Her solution was 'Buy a new printer'.

 

I can see there are loads of posts about region resets being possible through HP. How do I do this? What is the number that I need to call to get this done?

 

I just want my printer to work - I am not asking for the moon to be moved three inches to the left 🙂

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you moved, and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

 

NOTE: regional reset is attempted on a best-effort basis, it might not work on all printers. 

 

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
