Product: HPCA9918 (HP OfficeJet Pro 6960)

I just installed a genuine HP 902XL cartridge in my  HPCA9918 (HP OfficeJet Pro 6960) but got an "older generation cartridge installed" error message.  Th cartridge I was trying to replace was from the same pack that by new cartridge. I disconnected my printer and tried to restart it but still got the error message. I am not sure why I am getting this message or how to fix it. Thanks!

Hi,

What is the warranty end date of the cartridge?

 

HP 902 cartridges with Warranty Ends date of Apr 2021 or earlier are not compatible with your printer and need to be replaced
