@TEDbuc, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, you can change the default print setting on your HP Envy Inspire 7900 to color instead of black and white. Here's how to do it on a Windows system:

Change Default Print Settings to Color (Windows)

Open Control Panel:

  • Press Windows + R, type control, and press Enter.

Go to Devices and Printers:

  • Click on "Devices and Printers" under Hardware and Sound.

Right-click Your Printer:

  • Find your HP Envy Inspire 7900 in the list.
  • Right-click it and select "Printing Preferences".

Adjust Color Settings:

  • In the Printing Preferences window, go to the Paper/Quality or Color tab.
  • Look for an option like "Print in Grayscale" and uncheck it.
  • Make sure Color is selected as the default.

Apply and Save:

  • Click Apply and then OK to save your changes.

This will set color printing as the default for all future print jobs unless manually changed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
