When I print photos on my inkjet printer on photo paper they smudge when touched

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see the paper smudge when touched after printing. 

 

  • In general, use HP Color-Lok Advanced Photo Paper -- HP Advanced Photo Paper provides Instant Dry characteristics and is made to work with HP ink.

 

  • In general, avoid using "best" quality -- unless your printer is capable of printing the highest resolution prints intended for Art quality presentation, "best" quality is not needed and may result in too much extra ink on the paper (increases drying time).

 

  • Ensure the printer is operating at its best:
