HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One

I'm trying to print a picture on 5x7 glossy photo paper.   The first two copies came out great.   The next few copies all are offset to the left about 1/2 inch on the 7" width, cutting off the left side of the picture and leaving a white gap on the right.   I've loaded the photo paper the same way every time.

Hi @TXMtb,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check Paper Alignment

  • Remove the photo paper and reload it properly in the tray.
  • Ensure the paper guides are snug but not too tight.

Adjust Print Settings

  • Open HP Smart app or Printer Preferences.
  • Go to Paper Size & Type and make sure it's set to 5x7 Photo Paper, Glossy.
  • Check if there’s an option for borderless printing and enable it if needed.

Clean the Rollers

  • Open the printer and gently clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
  • Let it dry before reloading the paper.

Update Printer Firmware & Drivers

  • Go to HP Support and install the latest firmware updates for your printer.

Try Printing from a Different App

  • If printing from HP Smart, try using Windows Photos or Preview (Mac) instead.
  • Check if the issue happens with all images or just one.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 2 minutes, then plug it back in and restart.

If the issue persists, let me know! 😊
