The printer colors are suddenly off. I have new HP brand cartridges just installed in September with plenty of life left. I took them each out and gave them a shake before putting them back. I have a feeling that one of them is malfunctioning, but I am not sure how to determine which one it is.

I have tried printing from multiple devices and multiple sources so I am sure the problem is with the printer itself.

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Also, perform the steps from - Fixing Poor Print Quality

The easiest way to test is to create a page of each of the primary colors Cyan, Magenta and Yellow and see which page looks bad and that is likely the culprit.
