Hi @Konacruzzz,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer suddenly takes over 15 minutes to print a simple document from your Android phone, this could be due to several reasons, such as connectivity issues, driver problems, or software conflicts. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check the Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure Strong Wi-Fi Signal:
    • Make sure your printer and Android phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and that the signal strength is strong.
  • Reboot Wi-Fi Router:
    • Sometimes, rebooting your Wi-Fi router can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the router for about 10 seconds and then turn it back on.
  • Re-establish Wi-Fi Connection on Printer:
    • If necessary, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network by using the Wireless Setup Wizard available in the printer’s settings menu.

2. Clear Print Queue:

  • Cancel Pending Print Jobs:
    • If there are multiple print jobs queued up, they could be causing delays. Cancel all pending jobs and try printing the document again.

3. Check for Printer Updates:

  • Firmware Updates:
    • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.
  • App Updates:
    • Make sure that the HP Smart app or any other app you're using to print from your Android phone is up to date.

4. Restart Devices:

  • Restart the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart Your Phone:
    • Restart your Android phone to clear any temporary issues that might be affecting the printing process.

5. Check Printer Settings:

  • Print Quality Settings:
    • If the print quality is set to the highest level (e.g., Best), this might slow down printing. Change the print quality to a lower setting (e.g., Normal or Draft) to speed up printing.
  • Check for Duplex Printing:
    • If duplex (two-sided) printing is enabled, it can slow down the print process. Try disabling it if not needed.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Konacruzzz,

Please find the remaining steps below.

6. Reinstall the Printer on Your Phone:

  • Remove and Re-add the Printer:
    • Go to your Android phone’s Bluetooth or Wi-Fi settings and remove the printer. Then, reinstall the printer using the HP Smart app or directly from the phone’s Wi-Fi settings.

7. Try Printing from a Different App:

  • Test with Another App:
    • Try printing the document from a different app or even from a different Android device to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the printer, the specific app, or the Android device.

8. Check for Background Processes:

  • Close Background Apps:
    • On your Android phone, close any unnecessary background apps that might be slowing down the device or causing delays in communication with the printer.

9. Check for Android OS Updates:

  • Update Your Phone’s Operating System:
    • Ensure your Android phone is running the latest version of its operating system, as updates can fix bugs and improve device performance.

10. Perform a Factory Reset on the Printer (Last Resort):

  • Factory Reset:
    • If none of the above steps work, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. This will restore the printer to its original settings, potentially resolving any configuration issues that are causing the slow printing. Be aware that you’ll need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network and reconfigure any settings afterward.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, it might be worth contacting HP Support for further assistance, as there could be an underlying issue with the printer’s hardware.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
