Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot find a way to access tools and clean heads under the settings icon from HP envy photo 7155 touch screen.  That starting point only gives product information (serial number, etc).

@uninitiated, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Follow the steps below-

Clean the ink cartridges

Use the automated tool to clean the ink cartridges.

NOTE:

To avoid issues that require cleaning, always turn the printer off with the Power button.

  1. On the control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  3. Touch Clean Cartridges, and then touch Continue.

A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.

Thank you for the clarification on using the printer touch screen.  After following the instructions given, I was able to run the clean heads provision twice.  I got successively less black ink printed on the page, although the first time through I could still read the statement #1, that the cartridge was a genuine HP product and there was sufficient ink in it.  The tab for checking the ink level showed half of the black cartridge still available.  Should I simply conclude the cartridge is defective and replace it?

Yes, go ahead with cartridge replacement to isolate the issue further.

If you still have issues, reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
