I own a HP 515 inkjet printer the quality of print over Wi-Fi is degraded  like the ink colour accuracy decreased while the normal scan and print is working fine and color accurate

Hi @Voidscreamer,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are experiencing print quality issues over Wi-Fi with your HP 515 inkjet printer, several factors could be at play.

Here's a troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem:

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink cartridges have sufficient ink levels. Low ink levels can lead to print quality issues.
  • Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Many printers, including HP models, have a built-in print quality diagnostic tool. Use this tool to identify any specific issues with the print heads or cartridges.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, firmware updates can address printing issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Wi-Fi Connection: Instability in the Wi-Fi connection can affect print quality. Ensure that your printer is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  • Move Closer to Router: If the printer is located far from the Wi-Fi router, try moving it closer to improve signal strength and stability.
  • Restart Printer and Router: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both your printer and Wi-Fi router, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on.
  • Check for Interference: Other electronic devices or physical barriers can interfere with Wi-Fi signals. Keep your printer away from such sources of interference.
  • Adjust Print Settings: Ensure that the print settings are appropriate for the type of document you're printing. For example, select the correct paper type and print quality settings.
  • Calibrate Printer: Some printers have a calibration option that helps improve print quality. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to calibrate it.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer or device. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.  Software and Drivers for HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless All-in-One
  • Clean Print Heads: If the print quality issues persist, clean the print heads manually. Most printers have an option for this in their settings menu.

After conducting thorough troubleshooting, it has been confirmed that the issue lies with printing over WiFi. It appears that either the WiFi drivers are experiencing difficulties or there may be a larger issue with the firmware. In light of this, I am seeking assistance and guidance to address and resolve this matter effectively. Any support provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
