Ink cartidges need to be replaced. When I open the front lid the carrier does not appar in  the middle.  Power off/on changed nothing. Opening both  lids and tipping the "auswechseln" (change) symbol didn't help.

When powering on the carrier does not move anyway.

Oddly enough I have the same printer and am having the same problem.  I see a few other post about it too.  Did they roll out a software update messing up the printer?  Curious to know if you got it fixed.

I got a solution. Thanks tp HP helpdesk.

You have to reset the printer to factory settings. Switch on/off ist not enough.

Thank you.  Factory reset worked.

  1. Printer factory reset to 123.hp.com/setup 9010
  • Choose the setup icon on the touch display of the printer
  • Select the services button and choose the restore default settings
  • Click the OK button when the resetting is over
  • The printer will power on its own
  • After the light turns on hold the resume button to complete the factory reset process
