Hi @Bruce3623,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink and are not empty or low, especially the cyan and yellow cartridges, as their failure can affect color balance.

2. Run Printhead Cleaning:

  • Use the printer's maintenance tools to perform a printhead cleaning. This option is usually found on the printer's touchscreen under "Setup" or "Tools."

3. Align the Printhead:

  • After cleaning, align the printhead through the printer's settings. This can help ensure that the nozzles are set correctly for optimal printing.

4. Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-genuine cartridges can sometimes cause print quality issues.

5. Check the Print Settings:

  • Make sure the print settings in your driver software are set to the correct paper type and quality for the document you are printing. Sometimes incorrect settings can lead to color discrepancies.

6. Manually Clean the Printhead:

  • If automated cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to clean the printhead manually. This involves removing the printhead (if detachable) and gently cleaning excess ink and debris with a lint-free cloth.

7. Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and restart to reset any temporary disruptions in function.

8. Firmware Update:

  • Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer via the HP Smart app or HP's Support website.

I hope this helps.
