I tried printing out a color picture using paper designed for photos, but it smeared the picture. Now when I do just routine printing, there are black spots on the printed paper, mainly on the back of the paper. I am assuming I need to clean the print head, but not sure how to do it. Please help.

Did you use photo paper designed for laser or inkjet? Inkjet paper has a carrier surface to hold the ink but this surface is not compatible with Laser printers and will result in poor print quality. You also need to ensure that you set the paper type on the printer properly so that the printer slows down and uses more heat to ensure toner gets bonded to the page.

Thanks for the info, but I really wanted to know how to get rid of the black spots that appear on regular paper when I print. I assume it is smeared ink from when I tried using the paper to print a picture. So, my question is, I assume I need to clean my printhead and therefore, how do I do that?
