I have a UK supplied printer Photosmart C8180 that is currently configured for Australian market and cartridges. I performed the regional change 9 yrs ago under HP direction (UK to Australia).  Not overly complicated but somewhat unneccesary but for another day.

I now want to return the printer to original UK region. I have a partly used set of Australian cartridges currently in use and a full set of UK cartridges awaiting installation. After a lengthy conversation with a member of the HP team (very helpful and apologetic) he informed me that regrettably he couldn't resolve as I have 6 cartridge printer and he could only fix a 4 cartridge printer, mmmm......

I'm awaiting a call tomorrow 11th Dec. 2020 with an offer of a discount of a new printer!!

I have every confidence that HP can do better than this 😉

Hi @WeeJeeves,

I'd like to help!

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
