After changing one color toner cartridge, my printer began adding blue, magenta, and yellow stripes across every page I print.

Hello! 
Welcome to HP Community forum. 
The cartridge you replaced is defective. There must be a spot (a small hole) in the reflective drum on your cartridge and whenever the laser points to the defective point it get scattered all over the other toners creating this situation.
Probably looks something like this right? 
If the cartridge you replaced was new ask for warranty replacement from you seller.
