HP ENVY Inspire 7220e All-in-One Printer

I bought my first HP printer in December 2022. It worked well and I was very happy with it. But 9 months later, I really hated the brand.

I didn't use it very often, which was evident when the cartridges ran out in August 2023. Everything worked fine until August 30, but on August 30, when I turned on the printer, it reported that it could not communicate with the colour cartridge. I looked through the help on the website but nothing changed. I ordered new ink cartridges via HP Instan Ink. Even with these, the printer did not work with the colour cartridge. I asked for help via email and the first person to help me was Smitha. No solution was found, but she sent me a new colour cartridge to see if she could solve the problem, and a reference number. The printer did not communicate with the newly received cartridge either, so I sent her a message again, but a shorter one. I wrote down the reference number and that I had the same problem. Grace was not very helpful, treating me like I was stupid and didn't know about the problem I had described earlier. I described the problem to her in detail and again she just went through the solutions to the problem on the HP website. I had done it for the fourth time, but it still didn't work. As a last resort, he offered to replace the printer, but the warranty would not be extended. I preferred not to ask for it as I didn't want it to fail after six months with the same fault. 2 days later Grace wrote again urging a replacement of the printer, which I finally agreed to. Grace told me that the replacement printer would be inspected and thoroughly tested. But apparently this was not done as the replacement printer could not communicate with the black cartridge. I ended up returning the printer and did not even contact customer service because we spoke for 10 days but my problem was not resolved. I was very disappointed with both the brand and the support team.
