Hi @Kat_2672
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Remaining Paper Jam:
- Open the printer and carefully inspect for any bits of paper or debris that might still be stuck in the paper path or near the cartridges.
- Make sure to check the rear access door if your printer has one.
Check Cartridge Alignment:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly in their slots. Sometimes, removing and reinserting them can help.
Look for Obstructions:
- Check for any foreign objects, like torn pieces of paper or other debris, that may be blocking the cartridge path. Clear any obstructions if found.
Run the Printer Self-Test:
- If you can access the printer menu, try running a self-test or a maintenance routine to see if it resolves the issue.
Reset the Printer:
- Some HP printers have a specific reset process. Look in your printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
