I'd be glad to help you!
To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.
May I have the exact name and product number of the unit? Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Hi Elohi
thanks for your reply. The printer is an HP Officejet Pro 9010 series. I am not at home, but I from the app it indicates product number 22A56B and Serial number THIBM4Z031, Service id 32116. Hope this helps. Giacomo

Hi @Italjack
Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:
Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
Now check for any change when printing on both sides of the paper.
Check the following configuration:
- On the keyboard, simultaneously press the Windows logo button and R. The Run window then opens.
- Type control printers, then press Enter key. The Devices and Printers window then opens.
- Right-click the name of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series printer, then click Printer Properties. The Printer Properties window then opens.
- Please click on the Device Settings tab, then in the drop-down list in front of Automatic Duplexing Unit:, select Installed.
- Click Apply and click OK.
How do I set the settings located in Print Shortcut?
- On the keyboard, simultaneously press the Windows logo button and R. The Run window then opens.
- Type control printers, then press Enter key. The Devices and Printers window then opens.
- Right-click on the printer name of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series printer, then click on Printing preferences. The Print preferences window then opens.
- Please click on the Print Shortcut tab, then on Two-sided (Duplex) Printings.
- Normally, by default with this shortcut under Print on Both Sides:, it is Flip on Long Edge and click OK.
- Close all open windows and try to print on two-sided.
