@Sergio119, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer isn't printing black ink, there could be several potential issues causing the problem. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the black ink cartridge is not empty and is properly installed.
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door and check the ink levels via the printer’s display panel or through the HP Smart app.
Inspect the Cartridge:
- Remove the black ink cartridge.
- Check for any protective tape that might still be attached to the cartridge.
- Ensure the cartridge contacts are clean (use a lint-free cloth).
Perform a Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wait for about a minute.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
Clean Ink Cartridges and Printhead:
- Go to the printer software on your computer.
- Use the "Clean Printhead" feature, typically found under maintenance or printing preferences.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date.
- You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or through the printer’s settings menu.
Align the Printhead:
- Use the printer’s alignment feature to ensure the printhead is properly positioned. This can also help resolve ink issues.
- Run an automatic printhead alignment from the printer’s control panel.
I hope this helps.
