Try these steps:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that all the ink tanks have sufficient ink, particularly the black ink tank. Low ink levels can cause print quality issues.
  • For more details on how to check and refill the ink levels, visit HP Smart Tank Refill Instructions.

Print Quality Diagnostic Page:

  • Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page to identify any issues with the printheads or ink cartridges.
  • On the printer control panel, swipe left, then touch Setup, followed by Tools, and select Print Quality Report.

Cleaning the Printhead:

  • Use the printer's control panel to clean the printhead, which can resolve clogs affecting print output.
  • Go to Setup > Tools > Clean Cartridges.

Align the Printheads:

  • Aligning the printheads can improve print quality. This can be done from the printer’s control panel under Setup > Tools > Align Cartridges.

Replace the Printhead:

  • If the issue persists, there might be a problem with the printhead itself. Consider replacing the faulty printhead with a new one.

Use Genuine HP Ink:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges, as third-party products may not offer optimal performance.
