Hi @Wolf0815,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer not printing in colour!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like a driver setting or printer configuration issue. Try the following steps:

Check Printer Preferences

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  2. Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences
  3. Check if:
    • Color Printing is enabled (not set to grayscale or B&W for A3)
    • Paper size is correctly set to A3
    • The correct paper type is selected (some settings default to B&W for certain paper types)

Check Application Print Settings

If printing from software like Word or Photoshop:

  • Make sure A3 is selected as the paper size
  • Ensure Color Mode is enabled under "Printer Properties"

Try a Different Driver

Even with the latest drivers, some models work better with an alternative:

  • Uninstall the current driver
  • Install the HP Universal Print Driver (PCL6) from HP’s website
  • Restart and test printing again

Print a Test Page in A3

  • Open Printer Properties > General > Print Test Page
  • If the test page prints in color, the issue is software-specific
  • If it’s still B&W, the issue is with the driver or printer settings

Let me know if this helps or if you need further troubleshooting! 😊
