As the title states, my printer is sick. After performing the in-device maintenance, the printhead only prints black and magenta. I don't see a way of ordering a genuine replacement since they stopped selling them in their parts store, and I don't exactly trust 3rd party components. What are my options for this fix? I'd rather not throw an otherwise excellent printer out when the part can just be replaced.

There are no HP videos on YT because printhead is not user replaceable, but you can find a lot of helpful videos from other users on YouTube disassembling and replacing or manually cleaning printheads.

The printhead is not user replaceable on that printer model and can't be bought from the HP parts store.

You can take a risk ordering a printhead but it will need a lot of disassembly to replace it and the result is unknown.

so if i wanted to attempt to save this one, and the cleaning method built into the printer doesn't fix it, how should I go about it? Does HP have a teardown video or someone that's knowledgeable?

Are you using the original black color ink cartridge? If yes that's the issue. If no then at least bring it to HP.
