@eaglescouter, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Check the ink levels on the printer screen. Replace any low/empty ink cartridge.

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Thanks for responding but I have been offline for a few days.  I need to clarify what the issue is.  Yes, there is NO ink in any of the color ink wells but at the same time I have black and tons of it and I don't need to print in color anymore.  My default printer color  is black but output has started showing pinkish/redish streaks appearing on the paper.  When I examine each of the cartridges it seems that a residual amount of the red ink as contaminated the yellow and magenta.  I have tried to clean the rollers with rubbing alcohol but its effectiveness is not good.  As such, is there anything I can do bypass and only print in black without replacing the color cartridges?

@eaglescouter

This printer does not support printing in single-toner mode. All 4 ink toners must be present and should have a good amount of ink in them for you to print either in Black or Color.

Kindly replace the empty/low ink toners to resolve this issue.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
