Hi. Hoping someone can help. I am trying to print something and on the app is says I have ink but I am getting blank pages. I selected a check printer which printed out a picture of a printer so assuming it is working. Help! I subscribe to automatic deliveries so not sure how that works?

Hi @sophiestree ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer is having some issues with printing regular documents, even though it can print a test picture. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Even though the app says you have ink, double-check the ink levels on the printer itself. Sometimes, the app might show incorrect information.
2. Check Ink Cartridges
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.
- If the cartridges are old or dried out, replace them. Sometimes, even with a subscription service, cartridges can be defective or dry out if not used frequently.
3. Run Printer Diagnostics
- Use the printer’s built-in diagnostics tool to check for issues. Many HP printers have a diagnostic tool in the settings menu that can identify and sometimes resolve issues automatically.
4. Print a Test Page
- Try printing a test page directly from the printer’s control panel (if it has one) rather than from your device. This can help isolate if the problem is with the printer or with the connection to your device.
5. Check Print Settings
- Ensure that your print settings are correct and that you’re not inadvertently selecting “Print in grayscale” or “Print with black ink only.”
6. Update Printer Drivers
- Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from HP’s official website.
7. Clean Print Heads
- Access the printer’s maintenance settings and run the print head cleaning utility. Sometimes clogged nozzles can cause blank pages.
8. Check for Paper Issues
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly and is not jammed. Sometimes paper feed issues can cause printing problems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
