Hi @Icyfire,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP printer. The error code 0x6100004a typically indicates a hardware issue. Since you've already tried the suggestions from the virtual assistant without success, here are some additional steps you can take.

  1. Reset the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  2. Check for Paper or Debris:

    • Even if there's no paper jam, open the printer and carefully inspect for any loose paper or debris that may be causing the problem.
  3. Inspect the Ink Cartridges:

    • Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated securely.
  4. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges:

    • Take out all the ink cartridges and then reinsert them. Ensure they are securely in place.
  5. Update Firmware/Driver:

    • Ensure that your printer firmware and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website to download the latest firmware and drivers for your specific printer model.
  6. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Turn off the printer.
    • Disconnect any USB cables.
    • Remove the ink cartridges.
    • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
    • Wait for at least 10 minutes.
    • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
    • Reinstall the ink cartridges.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
