@Jose2485, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes before plugging it back in.
  • Turn the printer back on and check if the error message persists.

Check the Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are installed correctly.
  • Remove the cartridges and reinsert them to make sure they’re seated properly.
  • Check if the protective tape (if any) is removed from the new cartridges.
  • Make sure the cartridges are compatible with your printer model.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
  • Clean the copper-colored contacts on the ink cartridges and the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Let everything dry before reinserting the cartridges.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer, especially near the ink system.
  • Check both the front and rear access areas for any small pieces of paper that might be stuck.
  • Clear any paper jams carefully.

Check Printer Firmware/Software:

  • Sometimes outdated printer software or firmware can cause this error.
  • Check the HP Support website for any available firmware updates for your printer.
  • Update the printer drivers and software on your computer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Some printers have a reset function that can help clear this error.
  • You may find the reset option in the printer's settings or menu.

Try a Different Cartridge:

  • Even though you've replaced the cartridge, it's possible that the new cartridge is defective.
  • Try reinstalling the old cartridge (if you still have it) to see if the error persists.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Many printers have a built-in self-test or diagnostic feature. Look for an option to print a test page from the printer's settings or control panel.
