I understand you are not able to print in black. Let us try these steps:
Check the estimated ink levels
From the home screen of the printer control panel, touch the Ink icon
. Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
If black is empty/low, replace it to resolve this issue.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Clean the printhead as shown in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues
Print a quality report or make a copy in black to check the result.
