Product: HP DeskJet 3634 All-in-One Printer

I recently bought new cartridges for my printer, and almost as soon as I installed them the printer started claiming it was out of ink. I've cleaned them, I've checked and re-checked that they are the correct cartridges, I've taken them out and put them back in, I've rebooted the printer. What is happening and how can I fix it?
