H.P.  Officejet Pro 6978  Printer

Have tried 2-3 different sets of cartridges and none work, Printer Screen says "Printing is unavailable because the indicated cartridges are defective"  I bought a set from e-bay and they worked for a day or two. I have since bought 2 new sets and I get the same notice.
